Job summary

DBC Real Estate Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II for a Multi‑Family Community in Penn Hills, PA. The Maintenance Technician handles overall property appearance and maintenance, with responsibilities including basic carpentry, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC tasks.

The role involves painting, make‑ready work for vacant units, pool and landscape upkeep, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 1–2 years of facility maintenance and/or mechanical repair experience required
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence required
• Associate degree in a related technical or mechanical field is preferred
• HVAC experience preferred; Universal and/or Pool Certification preferred
• Commercial maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical, and janitorial is strongly preferred
• Must have excellent people skills and be able to prioritize and complete tasks promptly
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check; a valid Driver’s License is required

Responsibilities

• Receives service requests, prioritizes work orders, and handles each most efficiently.
• Performs minor electrical repairs and replacement of light fixtures and related items.
• Examines and diagnoses problems with HVAC units and performs repairs or replacements; maintains HVAC units.
• Repairs and replaces kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washers, and dryers.
• Performs plumbing repairs, leaks, clogs, and installs fixtures as needed.
• May perform painting projects for interior walls and woodwork.
• Performs make-ready work for vacant units and maintains locks.
• Maintains pools and landscape to meet property standards.
• Adheres to safety programs and works during irregular hours including on-call shifts.
