Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a Porter/Gatekeeper to provide care and maintenance of a residential property's common areas. The role includes cleaning, upkeep and assisting with maintenance tasks in a collegiate environment.

A high school diploma and one year of grounds maintenance experience are required; a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs are also necessary. The position is on-site and includes benefits such as health/dental/vision, 401k matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and 1 year of full-time grounds maintenance experience.
• Efficient in reading instructions and documenting labor and materials.
• Punctuality, dependability, ability to work under deadlines and weekend emergencies.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and related features.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas on a continuous basis.
• Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways and stairways as scheduled.
• Maintain and repair stairwell treads and exterior lighting; report inventory to supervisor.
• Mow lawns, trim planting beds, rake leaves and manage landscaped areas.
• Apply weed and feed, top seed and water as needed; install seasonal plantings and trees.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs as directed; maintain irrigation and fountains.
• Clean pool and spa per manufacturer specs; perform routine pool equipment maintenance.
• Know emergency procedures and how to engage shutoffs; promote safety to residents and visitors.
• Keep drainage grills clear; pressure-wash sidewalks and property; assist in snow removal as needed.
• Undertake training related to duties; maintain professional appearance.
