Job summary

Creative Flagstaff is seeking an on-call Programs Assistant to support exhibitions, events, and programs at the Coconino Center for the Arts. This in-person role requires regular weekend and evening hours and offers flexible shifts with no hours guaranteed.

The position involves front desk reception, event support, gallery prep, and customer service, with responsibilities spanning ticketing, merchandise, and community activations.

Qualifications

• Some college education preferred; experience could substitute for education.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Current Arizona Title 4 liquor certification or ability to obtain certification after starting position. (Company paid)
• May be asked to obtain a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain Clearance Card after starting position. (Company paid)

Responsibilities

• Assist Staff with program coordination and public participation, including front desk reception, events support, and communications.
• Prepare venue for internal or external events including light cleaning, moving chairs, tables, and equipment.
• Provide customer service and reception including ticket and membership sales; may manage volunteers and oversee other staff.
• Assist in preparing galleries and spaces for exhibitions, programs, and events.
• Present a welcoming environment as Front-of-House Ambassador; primary gallery attendant during shifts; ensure visitors have engaging experiences.
• Coordinate merchandise and concessions; operate Point of Sale and ticketing; handle cash.
• Utilize software for sales and CRM; comply with alcohol service policies.
