Job summary

Caring-Hospice-Services is seeking an on-call RN to deliver direct patient care for hospice patients after hours, with a strong emphasis on pain and symptom control while traveling to patient locations.

The role requires an Ohio RN license and the ability to assess and manage patient needs, document thoroughly, and coordinate with physicians. A reliable vehicle and insurance are required.

Must be Licensed as an RN in OH.

Ability to relate and treat terminally ill patients/families and their particular problems.

Must possess strong patient assessment, patient management and documentation skills.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skill.

Access to reliable automobile with proof of liability insurance.

Communicates pertinent findings to the physician, implements medical treatment plan, instructs family accordingly.

Identifies problems/needs of patient of caregiver, making recommendations for pain management and comfort/symptom management.

Responds to calls promptly when received from answering service. Is able to prioritize.
