Job summary

Caring-Hospice-Services is seeking an on-call RN to deliver direct patient care for hospice patients after hours, with a strong emphasis on pain and symptom control while traveling to patient locations.

The role requires an Ohio RN license and the ability to assess and manage patient needs, document thoroughly, and coordinate with physicians. A reliable vehicle and insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in OH.
• Experience relating to terminally ill patients and families.
• Strong patient assessment, management and documentation skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skills.
• Access to reliable automobile with proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care after hours with focus on pain and symptom control.
• Relate to and treat terminally ill patients and families.
• Communicate pertinent findings to the physician and implement the medical plan.
• Prioritize calls and respond promptly from the field.
