Job summary

Caring Hospice Services is seeking an RN on-call in Ohio to provide direct patient care with emphasis on pain and symptom management for hospice patients after hours. The role requires OH RN licensure and reliable transportation to visit patients on the road.

Candidates should demonstrate strong assessment, management, and documentation skills, plus excellent organizational and communication abilities to coordinate with physicians and families during critical hours.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in OH.
• Ability to relate and treat terminally ill patients and families.
• Strong patient assessment, patient management and documentation skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skills.
• Access to reliable automobile with proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with emphasis on pain and symptom control after hours.
• Communicate pertinent findings to the physician and instruct family accordingly.
• Prioritize and respond promptly to calls from the on-call service.
• Travel to patient locations as part of on-road work.

Shift: On-Call

Must be Licensed as an RN in OH.

Ability to relate and treat terminally ill patients/families and their particular problems.

Must possess strong patient assessment, patient management and documentation skills.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skill.

Access to reliable automobile with proof of liability insurance.

Communicates pertinent findings to the physician, implements medical treatment plan, instructs family accordingly.

Identifies problems/needs of patient of caregiver, making recommendations for pain management and comfort/symptom management.

Responds to calls promptly when received from answering service. Is able to prioritize.
