Job summary

Vivmark Residential, formed by the merger of AvalonBay Communities and Equity Residential, seeks a Multisite Maintenance Technician to support two Equity Residential apartment communities.

Under general direction, you respond to resident requests, perform make-ready work, maintain common areas, and handle on-call emergencies, emphasizing safety and customer service. This role requires hands-on maintenance experience and a valid driver's license; weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment, and interior repairs and painting preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to operate a motorized vehicle.
• Computer literacy and clear written/oral English communication.
• Ability to work any shift, including weekends; on-call for emergencies.
• Must use smartphone for job tasks; provide after-hours contact.
• Physical ability for lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares market-ready apartments.
• Responds to resident service requests promptly.
• Performs maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; keeps them clean and safe.
• On-call emergency maintenance as required.
• Works on special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Reports maintenance concerns to the Service Manager.
• Performs scheduled maintenance program.
• Familiar with housing laws and internal policies.
• Attends training programs and represents the company professionally.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
