Job summary

AvalonBay Communities, Inc.-affiliated position with Vivmark seeks a Multisite Maintenance Technician to support maintenance efforts at two or more apartment communities. You will respond to resident service requests, complete make-ready work, and maintain common areas, contributing to on-time move-ins and high resident satisfaction.

Solid hands-on maintenance experience, problem-solving for plumbing/electrical tasks, and the ability to work evenings or weekends when needed are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on general service maintenance experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and perform interior repairs and painting preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a vehicle.
• English communication skills required for work purposes.
• Must be able to work weekends and respond to emergencies after hours when assigned.
• Smartphone use and secure connectivity required for work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all market-ready apartments.
• Responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
• Performs various maintenance functions.
• Maintains grounds and common areas and keeps them free of trash, debris and snow where applicable.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Performs special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Reports maintenance concerns for repairs to the Service Manager.
• Performs scheduled maintenance program.
• Knowledgeable of federal and state apartment housing laws and internal policies.
• Attends and participates in training programs as required.
• Represents the Company professionally at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
