Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician for multifamily properties. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs, and general upkeep to meet company standards for safety and quality.

Responsibilities include responding to resident service requests via a work order system, preparing vacant units, maintaining amenities, inspecting work, and assisting with vendor supervision.

Qualifications

• One year of general maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair).
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily maintenance experience highly desired.
• Valid driver’s license for on-site operations.
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident interaction.
• Ability to read and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs across the property for safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with inspections and punch lists.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, and painting.
• Manage maintenance tools and materials and notify supervisors for reorder.
• Repair rather than replace parts to be cost-efficient.
• Attend safety meetings and complete OSHA training.
• Inspect vendor work to ensure quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
