MidPen Housing Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management team. You will perform skilled upkeep across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping systems to ensure safe, high‑quality housing for residents.

Reporting to the Community Manager, you’ll mentor junior staff and support turnover, inspections, and purchases while maintaining secure, well‑lit common areas in our affordable housing communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of maintenance, landscaping, and irrigation experience.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and landscape maintenance practices.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 emergency maintenance.
• Perform skilled maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping tasks.
• Prepare vacant units for re-occupancy within set timeframes.
• Maintain landscaping and irrigation systems and ensure safe, clean common areas.
• Coach and oversee Maintenance Groundskeeper staff and assist with training.
• Coordinate with contractors and monitor contracted work completion.
• Maintain work orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Assist with move-ins/outs and annual inspections.
