Job summary

MidPen Housing seeks a versatile Maintenance Groundskeeper in Sonoma to handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscape tasks across an affordable housing community. You will mentor Groundskeeper staff and coordinate with the Community Manager on moves, inspections, and daily operations.

The role requires hands-on trade depth, strong communication with residents, and reliable on-call coverage seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Tradeswide maintenance competency across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscape tasks.
• Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair residential systems.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and document activities clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit turns: painting, fixture installation, appliance hookups to rent-ready standards.
• Run preventive maintenance rounds and document work orders in the system.
• Conduct landscape and irrigation checks to maintain common areas.
• Coordinate with contractors: bid processes, scheduling, completion verification.
• Support Community Manager on move-ins/move-outs and annual inspections.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
