Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Melville, NY. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks to keep apartment homes in top condition.

You will ensure timely service, rent-ready vacant units, and support preventive maintenance across the community. Candidates should have 2–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and be available for monthly on‑call rotation.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• On-call schedule rotation monthly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Ability to read and understand policies (SDS, safety docs).
• Knowledge of PPE and safe chemical handling.
• Understanding of emergency systems and shutoffs.
• Familiarity with paint types and basic painting tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and related systems.
• Complete service requests promptly and to company standards.
• Ensure vacant homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on units and common areas.
• Assist with interior and exterior painting as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment following Vivmark safety policies.
