Job summary

YES! Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained in Michigan. You will handle maintenance requests, perform preventative tasks, and assist with new home deliveries and setups while coordinating with management.

You will interact with residents, follow safety protocols, and participate in team meetings, with on-call responsibilities and vehicle operations as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Valid in-state driver’s license required.
• Experience in home refurbishment or make-ready preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool operation experience are a plus.
• OSHA trainings or certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry software and tablets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris.
• Complete all work in a timely manner while meeting safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls according to on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and resolve issues.
• Aid in new home delivery and set-up; report warranty/follow-up work to management.
