Job summary

RPM Living seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to preserve and enhance the value of our apartment communities. You will perform maintenance tasks and step in for the Maintenance Manager when needed, coordinating repairs and ensuring safety.

This on-site role requires multifamily maintenance experience, EPA certification, and strong communication with residents and teams. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• : High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• - One year of multifamily maintenance experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• - EPA certification required.
• - CPO – Preferred.
• - Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• : Ensure prompt coordination and response to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance assignments.
• - Complete work orders and maintenance tasks within 24-48 hours, updating records in the computer system.
• - Document all maintenance activities and communicate clearly with residents, team members, and supervisors, providing status updates.
• - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and exterior maintenance.
• - Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity.
• - Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety/environmental laws.
• - Collaborate with maintenance team, other departments, and external contractors.
• - Conduct preventive maintenance activities to avoid issues.
• - Assess property safety and cleanliness standards.
• - Report supply needs to Maintenance Manager and/or Community Manager.
• - Assume Maintenance Manager responsibilities in their absence.
