Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking on-call kitchen staff to support serving lines, food preparation, and dishwashing across our programs. We operate across multiple states, and pay rates vary by state and position.

Responsibilities include setting up serving lines, preparing foods according to menu plans, maintaining proper temperatures, and keeping areas clean and organized. Candidates must enjoy teamwork, be able to stand for long periods, and handle physical demands safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure all food is held at the required temperature.
• Assist in food preparation according to menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; practice FIFO for inventory.
• Follow HACCP processes and maintain daily temperature logs; ensure safe handling of food.
