Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking on-call kitchen staff to support daily operations across multiple sites. Responsibilities include set-up of serving lines, food preparation according to menu plans, and ensuring proper temperatures for served items.

Position requires ability to operate kitchen equipment, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety and HACCP guidelines. We offer varied pay by state and position, with opportunities to contribute to a team serving students and communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; follow recipes and menu plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas, including equipment and dishes; restock items as needed.
• Monitor chemical usage and maintain equipment in the dishwashing area; ensure proper sanitation.
