Role requires basic food-handling knowledge, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced cafeteria environment. Flexible shifts and opportunities for additional hours may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification (slicers, mixers, grinders).
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; practice FIFO.
• Maintain clean dishwashing area and proper chemical usage; monitor temperatures.
