Job summary

Vitality Hospice is seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time hospice care across New Jersey. You will respond to after-hours patient needs, assess symptoms, and support families while working with an experienced interdisciplinary team.

This role requires a New Jersey RN license and at least 1 year of RN experience, preferably in hospice or home health. Competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN license
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; hospice/home health preferred
• Hospice experience is a plus, willingness to train the right candidate
• Excellent communication and compassionate bedside manner

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours patient needs and symptom management
• Perform nursing assessments and develop interventions
• Educate patients and families with empathy
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary hospice team
• Document accurately in the EMR in a timely manner
• Maintain compliance with Medicare/state regulations and hospice standards
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage while delivering exceptional service
