Vitality Hospice is seeking a compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey. You will provide after-hours hospice care, respond to patient needs, manage symptoms, and support families during evenings, nights, and weekends.

The role requires an NJ RN license and at least 1 year of RN experience; hospice experience is preferred but training is available. Join a supportive team committed to exceptional patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ RN license
• Minimum 1 year RN experience (hospice/home health preferred)
• Hospice experience preferred; training available
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and bedside manner
• Ability to work independently and with team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours hospice care and symptom management
• Perform nursing assessments and interventions
• Educate patients and families with compassion
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team
• Document accurately in the EMR
• Ensure compliance with Medicare and hospice standards
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage
