Vitality Hospice is seeking a compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours hospice care across evenings, nights, and weekends. You will respond to patient needs, manage symptoms, support families, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort and quality of life.

Ideal candidates hold a Pennsylvania RN license with at least 1 year of RN experience. Hospice experience is preferred, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Hospice, Home Health, Oncology, ICU, ER, or Med-Surg preferred).
• Hospice experience preferred; training available.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and compassionate bedside manner.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours patient needs and symptom management.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop interventions.
• Educate patients and families with compassionate guidance.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Document timely in the EMR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage.
