Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Commitment to Housing First, Harm Reduction, Person-Centered, and Consumer-Choice models of care
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
• Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to serve low-income/homeless individuals
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment and deescalate crises

Responsibilities

• Read the staff log book from the last shift
• Answer and control the phone professionally as the main telephone operator
• Maintain logs and control of all visitors using LobbyGuard software
• Monitor security cameras and respond to threats
• Call 911 for trespassing or emergencies
• Use panic alarm only for imminent threats and prioritize 911 for information
• Maintain professional boundaries with tenants and visitors
• Keep lobby clean and manage lobby area
• Ensure safe entry/exit and assist during evacuations
• Supportive housing staff in daily operations and crisis situations
• Additional second shift duties including evening lobby sanitization
