Job summary

The Communications Clerk is the friendly, on-site front desk ambassador for Masonic Homes of California, serving residents, families and staff with warmth, efficiency and privacy. You will direct calls, assist with mail and deliveries, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment in line with established policies.

This role requires multitasking, a professional demeanor, and the ability to adapt to day, evening, and NOC shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience on multi-line telephone console preferred.
• Knowledge of computers, internet and MS Office.
• Ability to work under stress and relate to aging persons.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct visitors in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Direct incoming calls and messages to appropriate staff.
• Assist residents with outgoing calls and mail deliveries.
• Maintain daily logs and coordinate mail and deliveries.
• Provide back-up support for other departments as needed.
