Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician for the USCIS Application Support Center in Gardena, CA. This on-call role supports biometrics registration, crowd control, and front-line service to applicants, with a flexible schedule and no guaranteed hours.

You will handle fingerprints, photos, signatures, and ensure credentialed entry while maintaining security and customer service standards. Training provided and on-call coverage offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship required for credentials at this location.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Stand for shift duration with breaks.
• Hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain fingerprints.
• Work in a high-paced public environment.
• Type and use basic computer skills.
• Complete biometrics training and certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration.
• Ensure only approved applicants enter the ASC and assist with crowd control.
• Provide front-line customer service as a representative of Amentum and the US Government.
• Perform quality biometrics processing including fingerprints, photos, and signatures.
• Screen applicants for valid appointments and IDs for entry.
• Maintain visitor control logs and complete administrative paperwork as needed.
