Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. is seeking Staff Archaeologists to support projects across the eastern U.S. and beyond, providing cultural resources expertise for planning, engineering, and construction activities.

Positions are offered as part-time, on-call (1–20 hours per week, without benefits) with potential to transition to full-time. Travel is frequent, and work hours span 8–10 hour days in diverse environments. Hybrid work policy supports split time between offices and remote locations.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using GPS technology and associated field software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, engineering and construction projects with cultural resources input.
• Work under senior cultural resources staff guidance.
• Travel frequently to field sites and work 8–10 hour days in varying conditions.
