Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Staff Archaeologists to support cultural resources projects across Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and other eastern geographies.

The role is described as Part‑Time, on‑call (without benefits; 1–20 hours per week) with potential to transition to Full‑Time. Travel is frequent, and work will involve NHPA, NEPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA compliance under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology/Archaeology/CRM.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional archaeological field work experience.
• Experience in construction monitoring and collaborating with tribal monitors.
• Knowledge of NEPA, NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA and state cultural resources policies.
• Experience using GPS technology (EOS, FieldMap, Survey123).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support cultural resources projects across multiple eastern geographies.
• Work under guidance of senior cultural resources staff; opportunities for growth.
• Frequently travel and work 8–10 hour days in varying conditions.
