Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Staff Archaeologists to support projects across the eastern United States, including Pennsylvania. This position offers part-time, on-call work (1–20 hours per week) with potential to become full-time, and a hybrid work policy. Travel is frequent and safety is emphasized.

The role involves NHPA/NEPA/ARPA/NAGPRA compliance, field monitoring, and collaboration with tribal monitors. Ideal candidates show independence and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology/Archaeology/CRM.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional archaeological field work experience.
• Experience in construction monitoring and collaborating with tribal monitors.
• Knowledge of NHPA/NEPA/ARPA/NAGPRA and state regulations.
• Experience using GPS technology (EOS, FieldMap, Survey123).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects across multiple eastern geographies.
• Provide cultural resources support for planning, engineering, and construction services.
• Work under the guidance of senior cultural resources staff and travel frequently.
• Attend to NHPA/ARPA/NEPA/NAGPRA compliance requirements and site forms.
