Job summary

LifeCenter Northwest is seeking a Donor Family Services Coordinator to lead compassionate conversations with families about organ donation across the Western Washington region. The role focuses on guiding authorization, supporting families through grief, and collaborating with hospital teams to achieve life-saving outcomes.

You will travel and respond to hospitals in WA, AK, MT, and Northern Idaho, with on-call shifts and a strong emphasis on empathy, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in clinical assessment, intervention, crisis response, or trauma.
• Ability to fulfill on-call schedule and travel requirements.
• Experience with crisis intervention and trauma‑informed care and understanding of grief, end of life, and trauma on nervous system regulation.
• Ability to work with diverse families/LNOK through organ donation process.
• Experience using methods such as Motivational Interviewing, Dual Advocacy, Crisis Intervention Model, Solution Focused Therapy.
• Experience managing heightened behavior and de-escalation to reduce harm.

Responsibilities

• Lead donation conversations to support authorization for donation.
• Provide timely on-site response to hospitals in assigned region (WA, AK, MT, N ID).
• Support patient’s registered donation decision and educate LNOK about options.
• Work with families experiencing acute grief, crisis, and trauma.
• Complete authorization paperwork with LNOK.
• Conduct medical and social history questionnaire for donor.
• Ensure strong collaboration with families, hospital personnel, physicians, and LifeCenter staff.
