Job summary

Makeready LLC's Historic Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX seeks an on‑call dishwasher to maintain a clean kitchen and organize back‑of‑house areas, supporting food prep as needed.

You will load/unload dishwashers, wash items by hand, store dishes properly, monitor machine performance, and help ensure peak hours have enough cleanware.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any issues

This individual is a crucial part of the kitchen. This person knows that a successful culinary experience can only be created with sanitized and well-maintained equipment and facilities. Their primary role is to maintain a clean kitchen, properly organize the restaurant and back of house area, and assists with the preparation of food as need.

Requested Tasks

• Load and unload dishwashing machines


• Wash specific items by hand (e.g wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)


• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly


• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensil, especially during peak hours


• Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues


• Ability to maintain multiple projects and high priority needs as required
