Job summary

The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX seeks an on-call dishwasher to keep the kitchen clean and organized, supporting back-of-house operations and food preparation as needed. Responsibilities include loading and unloading dishwashing machines, hand washing items, storing clean dishes, ensuring adequate supplies during peak hours, and reporting machine issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments preferred.
• Ability to maintain sanitation and organization in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g., wooden cutting boards, large pots, delicate china).
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly.
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils during peak hours.
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and high-priority tasks as required.
