Job summary

The Greenleigh in Houston, TX is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support our culinary team for hotel guests, banquets, weddings, and events. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, ensuring dishes and cookware are ready for service and deliveries are properly stored.

  • Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic with a dependable attendance record.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Basic understanding of sanitation and food safety practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, floors, walls, trash areas, and kitchen workspaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing kitchen deliveries and supplies.
  • Restock clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and service items throughout the kitchen.
  • Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks as needed.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to management.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager.
