Job summary

The Historic Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX seeks an on call dishwasher to maintain a clean kitchen and support back of house operations. You will load and unload dishwashing machines, wash items by hand, and help ensure ample clean dishes during peak hours.

Responsibilities also include organizing the kitchen area, reporting equipment issues promptly, and assisting with basic food prep as needed. This on‑call role emphasizes reliability and team collaboration.

• Wash specific items by hand (e.g wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Ability to maintain multiple projects and high priority needs as required

Their primary role is to maintain a clean kitchen, properly organize the restaurant and back of house area, and assists with the preparation of food as need.
