WSP USA is seeking experienced On-Call Emergency Managers to support disaster recovery operations nationwide. Positions require deployment to client sites with 24-48 hours notice, and are project-dependent rather than full-time.

Selected candidates must travel with minimal notice, supporting recovery efforts across the United States. This role emphasizes leadership, compliance, and collaborative client engagement throughout the recovery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience including 1+ year in an Emergency Management role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
• Extensive knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Travel required - ability to travel to client sites as needed
• Ability to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources
• Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee disaster recovery operations for assigned clients, directing teams through all recovery phases
• Deploy to Emergency Operations Centers or Field Staging Areas to lead on-site recovery efforts
• Supervise and mentor recovery staff in logistics, cost documentation, and resource management
• Oversee analysis and evaluation of project applications, documentation, and inspection reports for compliance
• Manage a portfolio of recovery projects from initiation to closeout
• Oversee grant management systems to monitor progress, status, and funding milestones
• Serve as SME on procurement, contracting, and grant compliance across funding sources
• Lead training and onboarding for recovery staff to maintain readiness
• Build and maintain client relationships, acting as trusted advisor to agency leadership
