Job summary

New England Donor Services (NEDS) seeks an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join as a Donation Coordinator. You will respond on-site to organ donor referrals, provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation, management, and organ recovery.

Orientation for January 2027 and extensive travel within New England are required; on-call shifts and collaboration with hospital staff are essential components of the role.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of clinical/critical care experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPTC certification a plus
• Influenza vaccination requirement for clinical staff
• Ideal candidate lives within an hour of Boston, MA

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential organ donors and provide expert donor management.
• Coordinate organ allocation and recovery with surgical teams.
• Educate hospital staff on the donation process and obtain donor consent.
• Travel throughout New England for donor referrals and on-call coverage.
• Join orientation and participate in on-call day shifts with travel as needed.
