Job summary

New England Donor Services seeks an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join as a Donation Coordinator. You will respond on-site to organ donor referrals, providing clinical expertise in donor evaluation, management, organ allocation and organ recovery.

You will blend high level clinical and people skills to educate hospital staff on the donation process, obtain consent and collaborate with surgical teams to optimize organs for

Qualifications

• 3–5 years clinical/critical care experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; CPTC Certification a plus.
• Annual influenza vaccination is required for employees who work in a clinical environment outside of facilities.
• Ideal candidates live within an hour of Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to donor referrals to provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation and management.
• Assist in organ allocation and organ recovery.
• Educate hospital staff on donation process and obtain donor consent.
• Coordinate with multiple surgical teams and critical care staff during transplantation processes.
• Travel across New England as required, with mileage reimbursements.
