Job summary

First Step Communities is seeking a Client Support Associate to join our on-call team in the Sacramento area. You will monitor clients, ensure safety, assist with transitions, and connect people with housing resources while upholding compassionate, reliable service.

This full-time, in-person role offers shifts that vary by assignment, a pay range of $21.00–$24.00 per hour, and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, retirement, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Essential for on-call role with evening/weekend shifts.
• CSAs must build rapport and trust with clients to connect them with resources.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual attendance and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide guests from intake to shelter/cabins.
• Maintain safety watch day and night and respond to incidents.
• Escalate abuse or neglect to Management.
• Assist clients and staff during daily operations and meals.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
