Job summary

Indian Prairie School District 204 is seeking enthusiastic Guest Teaching Assistants to support teachers during absences. You will work with individual students or small groups, implement instructional plans, and help keep classrooms safe and on task across the district.

This role requires reading, writing, and basic math, plus proficiency with Word and Excel, confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one of: Paraprofessional License, IL Professional Educator License or Substitute License.
• Fingerprint-based criminal background check required.
• Written evidence of physical exam and negative TB test.
• Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher by working with individual students or small groups to meet learning objectives.
• Implement instructional plans and apply/adjust modifications to ensure learning goals are met.
• Administer curriculum-based tests/quizzes and track student progress.
• Record and update student progress toward individual education plans.
• Assist with non-instructional activities and maintain safety and order in areas like lunchrooms and playgrounds.
