Job summary

Indian Prairie School District 204 is seeking enthusiastic Guest Teachers to deliver lessons from established curricula across the district. You will work regularly, support a positive learning environment, and complete attendance and routine reports.

Candidates must hold Illinois ISBE licensure for substitute teaching, have a fingerprint background check, a physical exam with negative TB test, and reliable transportation. Pay is $130 per day.

Qualifications

• Illinois ISBE licensure requirements for Substitute Teacher.
• Experience teaching or working as a guest teacher, with impact on student achievement.
• Fingerprint-based background investigation completed.
• Physical exam and negative tuberculosis test.
• Must provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans as instructed by the teacher and/or school administrator.
• Be actively engaged with students and communicate positively with all students, staff, and others.
• Complete daily attendance and regular reports.
• Support a positive learning environment with structured classroom management.
• Direct classroom assistant(s) as needed and supervise duties.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and ensure safety.
