Job summary

Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an On-Call Nursing Assistant Certified at the Washington Soldiers Home. You will provide essential resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and support medication and therapy under supervision.

Requirements include valid WA NAC license and at least 6 months of health care/customer service experience. This on-call role requires availability for a minimum of three shifts per week and is not eligible for telework.

Qualifications

• Current valid Washington State Nursing Assistant, Certified license.
• Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting or direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care and activities of daily living for Veterans.
• Document vital signs and care notes in the medical record.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility under supervision.
• Support infection control and maintain clean spaces.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies; notify licensed staff as needed.
