Job summary

Washington Veterans Home in Port Orchard, WA is accepting applications for on‑call Nursing Assistants. You will assist residents with bathing, grooming, feeding, and monitoring, aligning with current standards of practice.

Requirements include a valid WA CNA license, active OBRA registry, and English proficiency. On‑call staff must be available for a minimum of three shifts per week across two shifts; telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington CNA license and OBRA registry active.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene care, toileting, eating and feeding.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition; report changes to licensed personnel.
• Document intake and output; maintain accurate records.
• Apply basic nursing procedures and stock supplies; maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and equipment.
