Job summary

Phillips Exeter Academy is seeking a Mailroom Courier/Distributor/Central Receiving Support to deliver high quality mail services across the campus. You will sort, route, and distribute mail, operate the Postage Meter and Notifii Track system, handle postage sales, and assist with deliveries and pickups on the courier route.

This on‑call, part‑time position is essential personnel, requiring a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility for some Saturdays or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college helpful.
• Experience with mailroom or campus operations preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and computer software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, screen, and route all incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail and packages received a.
• Receive, document, and distribute mail and packages to students, faculty, and staff.
• Operate Postage Meter and Notifii Track Managementsystem.
• Process and control sale of postage with cash and charge transactions and maintain cash drawers.
• Provide mailroom customer service at the window, including sales and inquiries.
• Re-address undeliverable mail and forward to USPS as needed.
• Maintain mailroom vehicle appearance and upkeep, and operate the academy mail van.
• Perform deliveries and pickups on scheduled courier routes.
• Assemble mail and packages for distribution and obtain delivery receipts.
• Assist with loading/unloading and inventory management and keep records.
• Notify departments of receipt of non-stock items and deliver accordingly.
• Store inventory properly and keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Communicate receipt of packages to recipients and complete work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.
