Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician to support USCIS Application Support Center operations in Alexandria, VA. This casual on-call role requires flexibility to cover five-day weeks with shifts 7:45am–4:15pm, as needed. Training will be provided; no fixed schedule.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality customer service while safeguarding PII, with compensation at $21.96 per hour and eligible benefits for on-call staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain facility credentials; US Citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand for shift duration.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful biometrics training and certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all entrants are approved; provide crowd control and enforce ASC rules.
• Provide front-line customer service as a representative of Amentum and the U.S. Government.
• Perform biometrics processing including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within processing times.
• Screen applicants with valid appointment notices and IDs for ASC entry.
• Maintain visitor control log and complete administrative paperwork as needed.
