Amentum is hiring a Biometric Technician to support USCIS ASC operations in Santa Rosa, CA. This casual on-call role helps with biometric data capture and front-line customer service for applicants.

Responsibilities include biometric registration, entry screening, and facility checks. The position emphasizes flexibility, working five days with variable hours and no guaranteed income, and requires US citizenship credentials and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must obtain facility credentials; US citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants (fingerprints, photographs, signatures).
• Screen applicants to ensure valid appointment notice and identification for entry.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure safe, organized facility entry.
• Visually inspect applicants and belongings prior to entry; address health status as needed.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to Site Supervisor.
• Assist Site Supervisor or Immigration Service Officer in contacting local law enforcement when necessary.
• Manage administrative paperwork, track processing times, reconcile biometrics, and maintain visitor logs.
