Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician for the USCIS ASC site in Chicago, IL. This on-call, casual role supports biometric registrations, crowd control, and front-line customer service in a government program environment.

Applicants must meet credentialing requirements, have a high school diploma, and be able to speak and write in English. The position emphasizes flexible availability, with hours not guaranteed and compensation listed at $19.47 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing crowd control and assisting staff in enforcing ASC rules.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the United States Government.
• Perform quality biometrics processing including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within processing times.
• Screen applicants to ensure valid appointment notice and identification for entry.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure safe, organized entry.
• Visually inspect applicants and belongings; respond to health status questions during health crises.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government Immigration Service Officer when necessary.
• Maintain administrative paperwork such as processing time tracking, biometrics reconciliation, and visitor logs.
