Job summary

The McCormick Scottsdale, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, is seeking an on-call Banquet Server to deliver exceptional guest service at banquets, meetings, and weddings. You will set up event spaces, serve food and beverages, and assist with buffet presentation while maintaining hotel standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, hospitality experience, strong communication, and a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to obtain any required food handler or alcohol service certifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event orders and service standards.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet stations, and service equipment.
• Greet guests professionally and provide courteous, attentive service throughout events.
• Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverages offerings.
• Clear tables and remove used dishes, glassware, and service items promptly.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist with buffet replenishment and presentation throughout events.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
• Breakdown event spaces following completion of events and properly store equipment.
• Work closely with kitchen staff, banquet captains, and management to ensure successful event execution.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and review event details as assigned.
• Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and brand expectations.
