Job summary

The McCormick Scottsdale, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, seeks an on-call Banquet Server to deliver exceptional guest service at banquets, meetings, weddings, and conferences. You will set up spaces, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest needs are met according to hotel standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Must be able to obtain any required food handler or alcohol service certifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, floor plans, and service standards.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet stations, and service equipment.
• Greet guests professionally and provide courteous, attentive service throughout events.
• Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings.
• Clear tables and remove used dishes, glassware, and service items promptly.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist with buffet replenishment and presentation throughout events.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
• Breakdown event spaces following completion of events and properly store equipment.
• Work closely with kitchen staff, banquet captains, and management to ensure successful event execution.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and review event details as assigned.
• Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and brand expectations.
