Job summary

Four Seasons Seattle is seeking, on an on-call basis, a Banquet Server to support event service in our renowned property. You will participate in setup, service, and breakdown, while ensuring impeccable knowledge of menu items and adherence to dietary restrictions.

A positive, energetic approach and flexibility across shifts are essential. The role requires strong food and beverage knowledge, a valid Food Handler Card, and MAST Alcohol Permit at hire.

Qualifications

• Strong food & beverage knowledge is required.
• Food Handler Card and MAST Alcohol Permit is required at time of hire.
• Maintain ownership of duties through hard work and discipline.
• Flexible scheduling requiring availability of morning, afternoon, evening, weekends and holidays.
• Banquet experience preferred.
• Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the service, setup and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items to be able to confidently describe food during plated and buffet meals along with receptions.
• Communicates guest orders including any special needs, dietary restrictions or requests to the kitchen.
• Delivers food and beverage to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure food quality.
• Anticipates guests’ needs and responds promptly with utmost care and attention.
• Ascertains satisfaction and offers suggestions in enhancing the guest experience.
• Breakdowns, cleans and set-up of tables, food buffets and beverage stations.
• Ensures Four Seasons service standards of excellence are achieved.
• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
