Job summary

The Charter Hotel Seattle is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service for events from 10 to 200 guests. You will assist with setup, greet guests, take beverage orders, and ensure compliance with state liquor regulations while maintaining accuracy when recording orders.

In this role you will rotate through banquet setups, service, and break-downs, working closely with the banquet team to ensure seamless events.

Qualifications

• Ability to anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
• Aptitude for greeting guests and assisting with seating.
• Strong communication and legibility in documenting orders.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Assist with setting up banquet rooms from 10-200 people and serving meals.
• Maintain knowledge of and abide by state liquor regulations, including service to minors and intoxicated persons.
• Greet guests as they arrive and assist seating at tables.
• Take beverage orders and use suggestive selling if required by function requirements.
• Input orders into system or collect tickets when the system is down.
• Set up, monitor, refresh, and breakdown coffee breaks, receptions, and buffet tables per group requirements.
• Clean all equipment as assigned.
