Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) seeks On-Call Archaeological Field Technicians in the Northwest Region, including Seattle, WA, Portland, and Bend, OR. The seasonal technicians monitor construction activities, identify archaeological resources, and coordinate with construction personnel and Native American monitors.

Candidates should have at least six months of field experience in the Northwest, an Associate's degree or equivalent, the ability to lift 40 pounds, a valid driver’s license,

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent in archaeology, anthropology, history, or related field with applied experience.
Minimum six months field experience in the Northwest Region.
Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Able to lift at least 40 pounds and work outdoors in various environments.

Responsibilities

Monitor construction activities and identify archaeological resources.
Communicate effectively with construction crews and project personnel.
Write daily surveys, monitoring logs, and catalog data using electronic tools and GIS.
Coordinate with Native American monitors and field crews.
