Job summary

True Environmental is seeking a temporary field technician to assist with archaeological fieldwork throughout the Western United States. The role involves conducting surveys and collecting data, requiring a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and some field experience. Applicants should be physically fit and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

This part-time position offers between $20-25 per hour, with potential for travel and lodging provided by the company. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of archaeological field experience or field school experience.
• Ability to work in diverse terrain and hike long distances (up to 5 to 10 miles per day).
• Must comply with company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological pedestrian surveys.
• Collect archaeological data using GPS and photographs.
• Perform subsurface testing or artifact identification.
