Job summary

Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking On-Call Archaeological Field Technicians in the Northwest Region, including Seattle, WA. You will monitor construction activities, identify archaeological resources, and coordinate with project crews.

Candidates should have 5+ years of field experience, an Associate's degree or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in varied terrain and weather, with occasional night or weekend work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months field experience in Northwest Region.
• Associate's degree or equivalent coursework in archaeology, anthropology, history or related field.
• Able to pass federal and state background checks.
• Must possess necessary skills to safely operate field equipment and GPS units.
• Must possess a valid drivers license.
• Able to direct small crews of archaeological technicians.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities and identify archaeological resources.
• Communicate with construction crews and project personnel.
• Write and maintain daily surveys, monitoring, recordation, and cataloging logs using GIS/mapping tools.
